CHVRCHES – Empty threat
This track has an electric pop feel to it, with an 80's synth pop sound. Everything compliments each other, spacey vocals, boomy drums, layers of synths and a catchy bass line, that give this track it's happy poppy presence. The track is off their fairly recent album Every Open Eye, which was released in September 2015. But the thing that's got everyone talking at the minute is the music video they just released for this track, only last month.

The video features as it's main character Riley Buttery, or how some have named her, the Lauren Mayberry look a like. We find Riley Buttery at the start of the video getting her self prepared for the day, dark lip stick and dark eye make up, with shots of views of the scenery later to come. She goes to a 'liqueur store' and buys some alcohol, meets her 'Goth' friends in a car park, who are waiting for her in a red sporty car. They spend the day drinking and having fun in their local water park. Shielding their bodies from the sun with black cloth umbrellas. Finding themselves in pools of water with smudged make up all over their faces. It's upbeat, it's electric and it's catchy as anything! Have a listen for yourselves.
